August Play-by-Play
by Duane Barrett, Contest Coordinator
Overview
I arrived at the field about 7:45am to find a calm, slightly foggy, but high day, and a couple people already there flying. We had a good turn out for the day.
Weather
Weather predicted 0% chance of rain, with a high of 85 degres. Turned out to be very sunny and it warmed up quickly. The wind also picked up out of the south, with some occaisional crosswind gusts. This made for a South bound take off and a turn around the number 2 pylon before racing began. Not the pilots' favorite.

Terry first, Greg second, Rick third, John fourth, Geo DNS. And today's racing was over in a flash!Reno Wrap Up: Some fast laps, no crashes, and no warnings for safety line violations, but plenty of action on the course. There were lots of cuts, but I didn't get who or when written down. I think everyone had at least one cut sometime today!
