June Play-by-Play

Overview
I arrived at the field about 8:15am to find a mild wind blowing, cloudy, but no rain. Weatherman predicted 40% chance of rain. The weather held out and we had a fair turn out for the day.

Weather
Third time is a charm. Weather predicted 40% chance of rain, but it held out and we actually had some sunshine during the morning events.

T-28 Class

Heat 1:

Only three pilots competing today. Racewas uneventful with Terry lapping us during the race. Standard finish, Terry first, Duane second, KC third.

Heat 2:

Three again, interesting heat. Terry cut the last pylon in the last lap and by the time he had done his pylon circle and went back around to cross the finish line both KC and myself had completed our seven laps. Duane first, KC second, and Terry third. I will say I know that Terry flew this heat at less than full throttle and it ended up biting him in the end.

Heat 3:

Again Terry first, Duane second, KC third.

T-28 Wrap Up: All in all a good day there were cuts, but no crashes.

Reno Class

Heat One:

There were four Reno pilots today. Rick first, John second, KC third, and Terry pulled out of the race for a DNF.

Heat Two:

Rick first, Terry second, John third, and KC fourth.

Heat Three:

Terry first, Rick second, John third, and KC fourth.

Reno Wrap Up: Some fast laps and some seat of the pants flying by Rick. No crashes though.
